Kioni

Around 5 km further down from Frikes, through a landscape of vineyards, olive trees, half-ruined windmills and small picturesque beaches, lies the quaint little village of Kioni. In the 19th century, the population was some 1,000 people. Since then, migration has reduced this number but the population multiplies in the summer and Kioni becomes again a bustling, thriving village attracting travellers with its ideal swimming and fishing beaches, busy taverns and cafes and a bay used as a marina by the many yachts which visit in the tourist season.
