Return of the Parthenon Marbles - Jim Mellas
In May this year Melbourne barrister Mr Jim Mellas, a passionate advocate for the return of the Parthenon marbles to Greece, delivered an inspirational presentation at our clubrooms on the history of the marbles and the efforts by both Greeks and Philhellenes from around the world to reunite the sculptures of the Parthenon at the Acropolis Museum.
A warm welcome and engaging introduction was delivered from the Acropolis Museum in Athens by Elly Symons who together with Jim are members of the Acropolis Research Group.
